Is violence justified during a revolution or protest?

A) How did the use of AI assist you in developing this project

AI perplexity helped me by wording the answers to my questions in a simple way where I can read and understand to get the summary, instead of having to look through different websites manually. It helped me get information from the sources and explained it accurately and specific to my questions.

B) How did you ensure that the work you created was still your own, rather than just a product of the AI

I read through what the AI said, made sure I understood the argumental points, and then put them into my own words as if I were the one talking about my opinion. I started off with gathering my information in point form and then converting them into my own structured paragraph.

C) Did you agree with the position you had to argue? Why or why not?

It’s complicated, there are many sides to what is ‘correct’. While one side shows that violence can be logically justified and help with revolutions, it is never truly morally justified at all. As we live in a world full of imperfections, violence is destined to occur at some point because there is never something that everyone has the same opinion/agrees on. At some point, people will want to have changes to benefit their situation, even if it includes violence. I can’t necesarily side with any of these positions, as they are both arguing in a gray area of my personal morals.

Core Competency Reflection

  • My strategies for collecting relevant information for specific tasks include taking notes in point form, watching videos with visuals to help me understand a perspective or opinon, and reading from sources specific to what I want answered. I try to focus on the key points and main idea without adding unecesary details, as well as using examples to explain the subject.

  • When I need to work collaboratively with people I don’t know well, I first organize who is going to do what part, and then get to know the person’s work habits and working style so I can help them out if they need it, or they can help me with my weaknesses. I try to do my part equally for the work, and ask them about their ideas or thoughts for a project.
