
Critical/Reflective Thinking Core Competency
In the titration lab, I demonstrated critical and reflective thinking skills. I followed the procedure carefully, used evidence from visual cues and colour change to determine when it had reached the endpoint, and used my data to calculate the molarity of 10.00mL of an unknown HCl solution that neutralized 0.100 M NaOH. By repeating the experiment, I was able to average my results to get a more accurate answer. I applied what we learned in the Solutions unit complete calculations and took sources of error into account in my head. I also asked Ms. Borges and Ms. Babbs for feedback during the lab to confirm if the I had reached the endpoint of the titration.
