Persuasion and Advertisement Unit Reflection

Why is it important to remember who benefits from the advertisement when you view an advertisement?

So you know who your money is going to. If it is a struggling family business or a multi millionaire. It makes you think over what your buying and you might spend an extra couple bucks to support the struggling family business.

ethical, emotional

For me ethical works best on me because when I see somebody with a lot of following recommend something I feel naturally drawn towards it. Especially if I like the person that is recommending it. Like I would rather buy something like a face cleanser if a celebrity with smooth skin says its good vs something like logical where they talk about like 50% of dead skin removed and talk about statistics.

Emotional because you can relate more with it like if I see an add on halls when I have a really sore throat and see the actor going through the same thing I am, for me it works really well.

   I am clear on this because collaboration is more serious and balanced then group work because collaboration is everyone collaborating together and tooken more serious while group work could be just one person doing everything. Often times in group work it is one person doing majority of the work while when its collaborative everyone is usually doing equal amounts

If there is ever a disagreement between my group I usually take a vote. I find this effective and fair because if two people have a disagreement on something we could all colaboritivly vote together to decide which opionion we prefer/agree with as a group.

I make a effort to include missing voices and perspectives by asking everyone in the group about what they think and there opionions to make sure they are involved. I sort of take the leader role most of the time when I am in group settings and one of the most important thing is hearing everyones opionion and making sure we all agree.

When I work with people I dont know well I like to do ice breakers and ask them questions about themselves/ there thoughts about the project to get out of an awkward quiet stage where no one wants to talk or say there opionion and we can work the most with the most effort and effectiveness.

Goal. Productivity and handing in things on time
I need to work on this goal because one of my biggest weakness in school has been my procrastination. This has brought my grade down in many subjects and gives me stress. Always saving it for later and sometimes not even handing projects in on time has been my biggest weakness and something I need to work on.
