Japanese Internment Camps

Japanese Canadians in internment camps; a horrible and illegal
idea.
I believe that placing Japanese Canadians into internment camps is
wrong, unfair and illegal. These people have been good Canadian
citizens who haven’t done anything wrong to deserve this
treatment.
They pay taxes and run businesses and are a part of our
community. It should be assumed that these people are innocent
until we have proof that they are guilty of helping the Japanese
government do harm against Canada.

White people’s racism and fear of people who are Japanese is not a
good enough reason to send them away to internment camps. They live
in these camps and still there haven’t been any charges or trials done.
This sort of treatment doesn’t happen to white Canadians and it
shouldn’t happen to the Japanese Canadians either.

Free the Japanese Canadians!!

Core Competency Reflection

I can understand and share information about a topic of interest in a clear, organized way. because you ask someone to call 9-1-1.

I take on roles and responsibilities in a group; I do my share. We do this by taking turns doing chest compressions.

I can identify and describe my qualities. I chose this because you need to look around your environment for any nearby danger

I have a social responsibility by caring for and helping other people. I can recognize if someone is in distress and now have the tools to hopefully save their life. If I can’t do it myself, I can direct and teach someone how to do CPR,
