Physical

1. Interior plains- flat lands/plains- this allows for farming and animals. because flat ground allows farmers to efficiently grow and take care of crops.
2. Mountains hills- hills/mild Rockies- it’s used for tourists, snowboarding, skiing. The hills and mild Rockies benefit snowboarding, skiing, snowshoeing, hiking etc.. because the hills are steep enough and packed with enough snow for us to board down and hike up.

Climate

1. The climate of Calgary is continental with very cold winters and mild or warm summers. This provides great winter and summer activities such as swimming and skating. Due to the cold weather some bodies of water may freeze over enough for some family pond hockey. In addition, the summer heat makes all swimming and water sports worth it!
2. When it’s snowing you could play cross country Skiing/ When it’s warm tourists come for the amusement parks. The amount of snow that Calgary gets allows for winter sports such as cross country skiing all season long! When it gets warm enough for shorts our amusement parks attract all of the tourists for great outdoor activities.

Vegetation

1. mostly grassy/thin trees- the growth and amount of grass is beneficial for cattle ranching because between it allows the animals to get the best nutrients and growth.
2. good soil- it helps with farming and agriculture. The farming lands and resources provided in Calgary make it a great place for growing healthy rich crops and food.
