Making and Sharing Reflection

This breakfast recipe I made, shakshuka mad to be my favourite recipe this year. It’s not just the food tasting food, but the teamwork from start to finish, the communication between my teammates, and my critical thinking from me. It wasn’t my first time making this dish, but for my teammates, it was. lead my group through communication with them.

Core Competency Reflection

While working in the kitchen, I help build understanding by sharing cooking techniques, experimenting with ingredients, and solving problems. I explain my methods to help others learn the “why” behind what I’m doing. I also foster creativity and cultural appreciation by discussing different dishes and cooking styles, while collaborating with others to enhance everyone’s knowledge and skills.

One of the ways I ensure my group is clear on the common purpose is by clearly communicating our goals and expectations from the start. I make sure everyone understands the task at hand, whether it’s a recipe or a cooking project, and encourage open communication throughout the process. By checking in regularly, offering support, and making sure everyone is on the same page, I help keep the group focused and aligned toward achieving our shared objective.

I show others that I truly value their contributions by actively listening to their ideas, offering positive feedback, and acknowledging their efforts. I make sure to give credit where it’s due, celebrate achievements, and encourage their input throughout the process. By fostering a respectful and supportive environment, I let them know that their contributions are meaningful and appreciated.

My goal is to create a collaborative and supportive environment where everyone is engaged, understood, and valued. I aim to build shared understanding, foster creativity, and ensure that we are all aligned toward a common purpose. By actively encouraging and appreciating each person’s contributions, I want to help my group work together effectively, learn from each other, and achieve a successful outcome.
