Personal Awareness and Responsibility: How I manage school-related stress

The emoji I chose that best represents what stress feels like to me would be 😖. This is because I kind of shut down when I’m stressed.

When I get stuck on a problem, I have strategies for what to do next. They include taking deep breaths, going on walks/runs or doing something I actually enjoy like drawing, singing or social media.

When I need to boost my mood or re-focus, I try to think of what my life would be like if I don’t graduate from university. Like I’d be poor and I don’t want to be poor.

When distractions are getting in the way of my work, I try to isolate myself, especially from people who I talk a lot with like my friends. This way, I could focus on my task and finish.

When I am feeling anxious about a test, I can calm myself by reviewing so I feel more ready. I could also take a few deep breaths and remind myself I got this, and I studied hard for this test.
