Core Competency Goals

When I am sad, angry, or frustrated, I will use physical exercise to gather my thoughts and calm myself down. Specifically, I love Muay Thai kickboxing and weightlifting as it releases endorphins that make me feel happy, calm, collected, and ready to be productive.

I appreciate feedback on all my work. I prefer it to come in the form of constructive criticism. No matter who you are you will make mistakes, I appreciate feedback as it makes me feel like mistakes are okay and I simply need to change something to end with the correct outcome.

What strategies do you use to decide whether to believe something you read? How did you develop those strategies? What advice would you give a younger student about figuring out what is true?

Whenever it comes to believing whether something is true or not, I look at more than one site and cross-reference to see if the information provided stays consistent. I developed this strategy throughout my educational career. I figured no site can always stay consistent with the information so, checking multiple sites to see if the facts line up is a must! I would advise younger students to use the strategy I listed above as it has pulled me through the last couple of years of school by providing me with consistent facts.
