Inspiration – What inspired you to learn Japanese?

I was inspired to join Japanese due to Centenial not offering a Korean class. I have always wanted to try out Japanese, ever since my family took a vacation in Tokyo and I was utterly lost not knowing what anything meant. Also, my love for JDM’s had a big impact on me choosing this course

Goal – What do you hope to do with your new language skills?

My goal is to apply these skills in real-world situations. For example, if I was to go back to Japan I’d love to know how to ask and answer simple questions and, be able to navigate around the city on my own. I hope these skills can put me closer in touch with the JDM community.

Motivation – How will you keep yourself motivated throughout this course? What will you do if you are struggling?

I will keep myself motivated by keeping myself accountable for all assignments and listening in class. If I was to struggle with any part of this course I will count on my friends for a helping hand. If they are also confused about the topic I will reach out to the teacher for more assistance.
