My grade 9 year

words that describe my year are, self relization, improvement and hard work. This year i learned that making excuses to others to look better is just hurting yourself. I learned that the person that is most important to impress is yourself. This year I enjoyed all the school sports I was involved in and finding happiness in what I do, I was happy about finally seeing results from the work put in when it came to the grades i was getting and our freshman basketball district Championship. This year I overcame the challenge of not having self love and worrying about the perception other people had of me. I reached the goal of maintaining As in my second semester courses and having some success in sports. I most proud of myself for loving my self and what I do everyday.

I chose youtube because I like watching content other people post. It can make me happy whether I’m laughing or seeing others happy. I can also learn a lot of things from watching videos aswell.

this interview kyrie Irving did made me see him in another way and caused me to like him more as a player and as a person. It gave me insight on how he thinks about him self and the world. Sometimes it can help listening to it because of the joy it can bring me.

I chose this image because some of my closest friends are on this team. The photo also shows the work we put in to get there. It may have not been a huge accomplishment but I felt nice. It’s one step closer to making a dream a reality.

this is my favorite quote because of the deeper meaning it has. When I watched the movie it was inspiring. I always think back to this and it has made me re think things and be more confident.

My Movie

Plot, Character, Setting, and Mood

I made the character based on pictures from the character in the movie. I chose the plot points based on the book report we are working on with Mr. Cook, Mr. Cooks book assignment helped organize thoughts for the power point. The setting is a post-apocalyptic world in north America. It is a country called Panem, the country is broken up into thirteen subsections, the capital and twelve districts. The mood changes in the story, in district twelve where the protagonist lives is very sad and is in poverty. In the capital everyone is happy and fortunate. In conclusion I thought the plot, and mood were very interesting.

Core Competency reflection

Examples of where I communicate clearly and purposefully can be seen in the character slide when I communicate who Katniss is and where she comes from.

I seek, develop and weigh options as demonstrated by proof reading and editing my work. I also took a lot of time to get the timing for the movie down.

When I need to boost my mood or re-focus, I take a break from working to clear my mind and re-focus, or I can re-read parts of the book to organize my thoughts.

ADL financial literacy

during the risk tolerance test I had a close to even pie chart. So, for this assignment I decided to use the stock market. I used the stock market because although the risk you can gain the most money over the three years. I find the stocks best suited me because I am willing to take the risk for the high outcome of money. I find it to be better than the others because while doing my calculations I found that if I have one year with a drop, I still make the $120,000. Also, it can be better because if you have more money upfront it can make paying the rest of the house off easier and less stressful in the future.

Working with my group was a good learning experience, I felt that we worked well together and progressed nicely in class. I contributed to the group by answering questions on the page and doing calculations on my phone. my group partners also did the same. i think we scored a 3 on our collaboration.
