Alright, lets set this thing in motion
I’m calm like the ocean ——————————Personification
About to make you ball with emotion.
This Poem will make you wow
It hits hard like a gun, POW————————Onomatopoeia
Even Hercules isn’t as strong as I.——————-Hyperbole
That’s since my flow so fly. —————Personification
Always confident I’m never shy
Sometimes feel like I’ll never die
Greatest at volleyball ——————-Hyperbole
I’m a rat when I roam the mall. ——————— Metaphor
Never wait to take action. Never late to a reaction
People flock to him with great attraction.
As this comes to a close
I hope nobody going to oppose
This hot star that arose
He didn’t make no remix
He flew like a Phoenix————Simile
Curricular Competencies
I learnt and grew after this project since it helped polish my creativity. It taught me to write with effective sound devices and figures of speech which helps convey an effective poem. An example of this in my poem is “He didn’t make no remix, He flew like a Phoenix” conveying myself always trying to “fly” with tasks at hand. Being able to just write about myself made it quite easy to come up with a strong poem.
Core Competency
The Core Competency I grew in the most was my Personal/Social competencies. Having to write about my self made me have to become really intact with my identity. I write about myself and how I Identify in a strong way which helps convey strong personal awareness. An example of this is “Never wait to take action, never late to a reaction” This shows that I’m intact and ok with myself being someone who always takes action and doesn’t wait around.
