Pig Dissection
Communication
I used the core competency of communication throughout this lab by communicating with my partner about what we are doing and how we wanted to go about the dissection. I also used communication to answer questions about identifying different parts of the pig. Communication was also helpful when asking my classmates questions for clarification.
Thinking
I used critical thinking to solve problems with the pig dissection. Especially while taking out the digestive system my partner and I needed to problem solve to find where the esophagus when and how to unravel the intestines. Also during this lab we problem solved when we couldn’t find a specific organ and looked for help from diagrams, Mr. Asano or other groups.
Personal Social
I used social awareness/responsibility to help answer my classmates questions. I tried my best to help them and if I could not provide them a solution of my own I would try to lead them to someone else to help or provide them a diagram which could help. I also participated fully in the dissection even taking out the digestion tract which was not required to do.
