This is our Budgeting Final project. We had to choose a career and a life (how many kids, and married or not). We then had to budget our expenses and find real-life things to buy and use the prices to budget our lives.
Core Competency Reflection
I use evidence to make judgements or decisions as demonstrated in this beacuse I had a budget and I had to decide what things to spend a lot of money on, and what things I can live with not spending a lot of money on.
I compile and synthesize information to draw reasoned conclusions, such as when I had to choose a career and find out where someone who dreams of having this career would start.
I can contribute to and work with criteria to improve my own work; evidence of that is when I had the criteria for the project open on another tab that was always visible. I also got Mr Byrd and my peers to check over my project to make sure that it was up to standard.
I intend to work on my collaboration. I need to get better at communicating clearly and purposefully beacuse I have a hard time explaining to others my thinking and I get annoyed when I have to do things other people’s way. I will do this by trying to listen to what they are saying and not just be stuck in my ways.
This is a photo of my Physics Fun Lab. I was away during the actual in-class lab so my teacher gave me the sheet for absent students, all I had to do was calculate the velocity and kinetic energy.
Reflection
In my lab, I was a leader, mainly becuase I was the only person doing my lab because I was absent during the actual lab.
I displayed critical thinking when I had to find a way to complete the project even when I was absent for the actual in-class lab. I also used critical thinking when I had to calculate the velocity and kinetic energy of the objects on the worksheet.
I think I need to improve on my collaboration because I next time I should be in class for the actual in-class lab.
This semester I worked very hard to make sure I am up to date on my homework, studying new vocab whenever we receive it, and participating in class discussions.
This is my script that I made for a project that we had to do, where we found and reviewed a spanish protest song. This shows my collaboration because I had to work together with a partner to complete this project and it also shows my amazing communication because we had to present our research in front of the class.
The 4 R’s are Risk, Recognize, React and, Resusitate.
I think that it is important to learn about the 4 R’s because it could help you save a life. Not many people actually know how to do CPR and I see that as a problem
Core Competency Reflection
Examples of where I communicated clearly and purposefully can be seen when I did the practical test for CPR. I made sure I communicated a lot and said aloud what I was thinking.
One thing I learned that I didn’t know about the body and CPR is how to properly perform CPR. I now know how to properly do it and what else to look for, as well as what I need to perform it like sending someone to get an AED.
When I need to boost my mood or re-focus in a classroom for PHE, I leave the class and go for a water break. I do this because it helps me clear my mind and re-focus.
This year I enjoyed playing on the basketball team. I was only on the team until the middle of November (My Dad made me quit because I needed to focus on school). The time I had on the team was fun because I was with my friends and we were talking about playing on the team the whole summer. This year I overcame my mad grades in Math. On November 1st I got a very low developing on my math test – That led to me being pulled from the basketball team – I then realized that school is very important to my future and at the end of the semester I ended up getting an overall extending. This year I reached my Goal of being able to bench press 135lbs. I achieved that by doing bench press twice a week from September to April.
I chose ZeteroBib because it helps me cite my sources. It is very easy to use because all I have to do is paste the link and it cites it for me. It saves me from doing a lot of work when I cite sources because I use a lot of different websites when I do projects that require research.

I chose this video because we just watched Jurassic Park in English class. It was a very interesting movie and there was lots of suspense. It reminded me of when I was little because I used to love dinosaurs when I was little and this movie made me feel nostalgic.

I chose this photo because in my report card, my teachers said I need to improve on Ethical Judgement. This photo helped me get a better understanding of what I need to improve on. I also look at this photo every day because it is in my room and I put it up on the wall so I never forget how to explain my thoughts.

I chose this because I can relate to this quote. Whenever I don’t like to do something I think about this quote and I end up doing whatever it is that I don’t want to do. I also like the guy who said the quote because in my opinion, Mike Tyson is the greatest boxer of all time. I think that because of his nastiness in the ring and the dominance he had over his career.

Is Violence Justified during a revolution or Protest?
A) AI helped me in this project because whenever I needed information on why violence isn’t justified. It also gave me sources so that I can show where the info came from and cite it.
B) I ensured that the work I did was actually mine by understanding what AI was telling me and putting that information into my own words instead of just copying it word for word.
C) I agree with the position I had to argue because violence should never be justified, one of the biggest reasons is that innocent people get hurt or even killed. In my opinion I think I won the argument because I had a good response to everyone of Theo’s points.

Examples of where I communicate clearly and purposefully can be seen in my podcast when I was talking about when innocent people get hurt. I think that because I believe that I had a very good argument that is hard to oppose. I also spoke clearly during that compared to the rest of the podcast.
I compile and synthesize information to draw reasoned conclusions, such as when I was looking for non-violent revolutions. When I asked Perplexity AI it only gave me one example, that caused me to look it up on google and I looked at multiple websites to make sure all of my information is true and it makes sense.
I would want to visit the Dominican Republic because it seems like a very nice place for my family and I to go because they have lots of beaches and nice resorts.

I can understand and chare information about a topic of interest in a clear, organized way because our poster was very will organized and the headings made it clear to see what we were talking about.
I can form new ideas to create new things. I can also build on the ideas of others. I showed this when Landyn and I had a disagreement on the layout of the poster, and I compromised and we made a solution that worked for both of us.

Examples of where I communicated clearly and purposefully on this project can be seen in slides 1, 4 and 6 because those are the slides I worked on and I put a lot of effort and time into those slides ensuring that they look good and make sense to answer the question at hand.
One strategy or activity that stimulated my imagination on this project was when we submitted an example of a persuasive ad. It helped me imagine what a persuasive ad looks like and it gave me ideas on things to put in our ad.
I knew my group is working well together when I saw and heard everyone working together on planning who is going to do what slides and what we should improve on each slide. Everyone in my group was very open to criticism which helped us improve each slide.
I think I did well on the Silver Lab write-up. This was my first lab write-up, and I am proud to say that I got extending on it. The thinking core competency is about your development and learning. I think that this shows that I excelled in this lab write-up.
