My strategies for collecting relevant information for specific tasks involves collaboration and verification. I often begin by talking to my peers, since discussing ideas with others provides different perspectives and helps me identify gaps in my own understanding. At the same time, I make sure to reference the given material, such as textbooks, class notes, or instructions, to ensure that the information I use is accurate and aligned with expectations. By cross-checking, I create a “procedure” that minimizes errors and strengthens my work. This approach not only helps me complete tasks more effectively but also deepens my learning by encouraging critical thinking and active engagement with the material. For example, during the lab, my partner and I were not sure of where to make the initial cuts. We then looked at the demo pig and talked to our friends (peers) to get more insight on the lab procedures for cutting,

When I need to boost my mood or re-focus, I find it helpful to pause whatever I am doing and take a break. Stepping away from the task allows me to clear my mind and reduce the stress that builds up when I stay fixated for too long. During these breaks, I usually eat something or scroll on my phone until I remind myself that I still have work to complete. This short distraction helps me reset, because the work is temporarily off my mind, and I can return to it with less pressure and a fresh perspective. For example, during the dissection lab, when I felt overwhelmed by the pig , I would take a walk around the super lab or chat with my partner about unrelated topics. These small actions reduced my stress and helped me refocus, since the intensity of the smell and the task itself felt less overwhelming after a mental reset.
