SOCIAL STUDIES CORE COMPETENCY REFLECTION – PERSONAL AWARENESS AND REPSONSIBILITY

I appreciate feedback on my projects and prefer it comes in the form of constructive criticism rather than an insult on my work. I like constructive criticism because it motivates me to improve and gives me clear direction on what to fix or build on. This connects to my image of the Bockscar bomber, which I created as part of a Social Studies project. Changing this 3D model to spec required precision and historical accuracy, and I received feedback throughout the process. When the feedback was constructive, I felt motivated to revise and improve the model to better reflect the actual aircraft. It helped me grow both in my design skills and in my understanding of the historical context. Insults, on the other hand, made me feel discouraged and less willing to continue. This experience showed me how important thoughtful feedback is to my learning and growth.
