My artifact is a needle felted garden
For my needle felting project, i used creative thinking to design and shape my piece, I started with an idea of what i wanted to create, but as i worked, I adjusted the design based on how the wool responded. I also looked at other students work for inspiration and tried new techniques to improve my project. This process helped me develop my ideas and problem solving skills as i worked. Next time i would plan out more details ahead of time.
By doing this project, i improved my ability to take information from different sources and organize it clearly. Creating this travel brochure helped me understand how visuals and layouts can help explain scientific ideas, I used creative thinking to choose images and colors that would make the information more interesting. One goal i have going forward is to work on improving my research skills so i can find more detailed and accurate information for future projects.
When i need to boost my mood or re-focus, i listen to music or go on a walk. I did this during the process of building this cabin i was getting frustrated because the glue would dry quickly and not give me enough time for it to stick to the paper. So i put my headphones in and was patient with the process of building this and in the end it worked out.
When i am sad, angry or frustrated, talking to my friends or taking a break helps me be more productive or calm.
I respectfully advocate for my needs by having a conversation with my teacher explaining what i need help with.
One goal i have for the future is getting better at finances. I want to save my money better and i can work on that by putting my money in a investment or savings account.
I demonstrate well communication skills during class time. I show this when i am stuck on something and have spoken to my peers and they also are lost. I will ask my teacher and have a better understanding of the questions.
I use a journal to keep myself organized and manage my time on when I am going to be working on my assignments. I try to prioritize the most difficult classes but also even it out with my least difficult classes, so I complete my assignments by their due date. This strategy works well for me and keeps me up to date with my classes. I use this in all of my classes in grade 9 I struggled a lot with managing my time and this has helped a lot.
I can identify ways in which my strengths can help me meet challenges, and how my challenges can be opportunities for growth. I used to struggle with getting my assignments in on time, after I started using the journal to help me manage when I’m going to be doing the assignments it has helped a lot.
The debate on whether our criminal justice system should be more punitive or rehabilitative is complex. A punitive approach focuses on punishment, which may not address the root causes of criminal behavior, while a rehabilitative system aims to reintegrate offenders, reducing recidivism. I believe a balanced approach is most effective, providing accountability while fostering personal growth.
Reflecting on my ability to analyze my own beliefs, I tend to favor rehabilitation but have gained insight into the punitive perspective. Engaging with differing views has helped me appreciate how both systems can work together for a more just and effective criminal justice framework.
I can get new ideas or build on or combine other people’s ideas to create new things within the constraints of a form, a problem, or materials. I can get new ideas to create new things or solve straightforward problems. My ideas are fun, entertaining, or useful to me and my peers, and I have a sense of accomplishment.
For this collage I took I was originally planning to take photos of outside such as a basket ball court and kids playing soccer. But the weather was pretty bad the days we had to do this assignment. I got a new idea by talking to my friend about the problem because she also was struggling with the problem too. We both came up with things we could take photos of inside centennial. We put both of our ideas together and came up with different photos but pretty similar.
I can understand the assignment by using my math tools. I made a clinometer and used it to calculate the height of the library wall.
I worked well with my partner and we got the accurate information for this assignment and we finished on time.

3. Examples of where I communicated clearly and purposefully can be seen in was when I missed the CPR test so I used my communication skills to learn more about it and be more prepared for it. I also had to communicate to the CPR dummy asking for its consent to perform CPR.

I created the avatar the way I see her through the ways they’ve described her through the movie.

I focused on the important parts of the movie and the parts that stood out to me.

So you get the idea and can picture the setting more with a picture that matches it.

I picked this song because it matched the energy the book gave me.

An example of where I built upon someone else’s ideas is… I built on the authors idea of this book. For example when I was making the character I made it different then the way she really looked but I used the authors ideas of the way she described Dumplin.
