My learning CPR

CPR Reflection
- What was something you learned that you didn’t know or consider before? I didn’t know what a AED was. I learned what the purpose of it is if someone is going into cardiac arrest it can be used and save someones life and I learnt how to use it.
- What is a key takeaway from the Theory or Practical CPR unit? The 4 R’s Risk, Recognize, React and Resuscitate. teaches us how to stay safe giving CPR and how to safely give CPR it also reminds us to stay calm.
- How does this unit connect to the nutrition unit learned previously? This unit teaches us how to effectively give CPR and possibly save someones life.
Core Competency Reflection
- One of the ways I can see using this learning to help others is if I recognize the symptoms I can use the 4 R’s and do the proper CPR I have learnt to do.
2. In discussions and conversations, I help to build and extend understanding by asking questions and participating in the conversation.
3. Examples of where I communicated clearly and purposefully can be seen in was when I missed the CPR test so I used my communication skills to learn more about it and be more prepared for it. I also had to communicate to the CPR dummy asking for its consent to perform CPR.
