Career Life Project Presentation
Curricular Reflection
this project was about choosing a career that interest us and finding the path that we would take to do this career in the future. the career that i chose was masonry, i chose this because it matches some of my career- life goals, some of my career- life goals are to find and do a job that doesn’t mentally wear me down and another goal of mine is to have a career where i am not financially struggling. i think that i had a lot of personal growth when i did this project, i learned a lot about myself that i otherwise would not have known, like for example i have a lot more practical skills than i had originally thought. and the pathway i found for this career will take me to a masonry school in Ontario that is completely free which is kind of cool
Core Competency Reflection
I can tell the difference between facts and opinions. proof of this is when i was looking at the different websites for the different colleges and universities and was able to sort out the different information and tell when things where fact or simply words trying to get people to come.
I deliberately learn about things that interest me, so when i did this project i chose to do it on something that i was already looking at doing which was something in the trades and what i ended up choosing was bricklaying/masonry
I can analyze evidence to make judgements. like when i look through websites to see which school is the best to go to i can look through what the school in saying about their programs and make judgments on whether they would be a good school to go to, for example a reputable cooking school most likely would not offer a program on how to build cars.
