core competency: critical thinking
during this fire lab I needed to do some critical thinking because during thus lab we needed to burn two mystery metals and we needed to think about the metals we had already burned to determine what the mystery metals where. And I needed to do some critical thing to figure out why the metals changes colors and also why every metal was mixed with chlorine.
i manage my stress by reading or listening to music i find they help me zone out which let’s me take a break, but technology is a bit funny in my case it can also help me relax and help me stay in contact with my friends and my mom but it can also be a causer of stress and procrastination which in time causes more stress, i can use technology to support my well being being on social media apps less because i find those to be the main part that causes stress.
I am kind to others, and support others when they need it.
this sentence relates to me because i try to be nice to everyone i meet so when other need help i will try to help them to the best i can.

This year I realized I learn best by only working on four subjects at a time which is why i like this semester system that we did not have in middle school, it has allowed me to concentrate on fewer subjects at a time so as a result i have been getting better marks in my classes
i chose the Duolingo website because this year i chose not to take a language as an elective but with Duolingo i was still able to learn a language outside of school and with Duolingo i have more language options than with a regular high school class for example i am currently learning Scottish Gaelic.
i chose this video because it has helped me calculate some square root numbers and it is especially useful to people like me who really struggle in math because she explains it really simply.
i chose this picture because it has inspired me to read more this school year and no i have found my love of reading and i have become a better and faster reader over the course of this year.

i chose this quote because i have a dream job i want to do one day but i am constantly second guessing if i am good enough for it and thinking i am never going to make it and that makes me want to give up but then i remember this quote and i remember that if i do give up then i will truly never make it and it inspires me to never give up.

for my drama presentation I needed to communicate with my group members so we could get our play to a proficient level
I have chosen this project to relate to my critical thinking skills because when I was making my tote bag I need to think about my spacing when I was painting and how much space I would need and I learned new ways to sew a bag on a sewing machine.
I can gather, select, evaluate and synthesize information
I have shown that I can gather information when I created notes to help me study I gathered all of the information that we learned about and that also shows’ that I can select and synthesize because I wright it in my own words meaning I can’t put every single detail so I had to select what to put in my notes and putting it in notes shows’ that I can synthesize information this has helped me improve this semester because now i keep my information more organized to help me gather information.

I have used many sources like your power points, hand outs, text books and some online source’s and I have shown that I can engage with the text by creating notes in my own words so that I end up summarizing it and studies show that summarizing information into your own words can help you remember the information better this has helped me this semester because I have felt more confident going to assessments because the information has not left my brain instead I have actually remembered the information.

because a lot of the points that I talk about are my opinion, and I do not try to hide this fact because in the work sited on the work sheets I say that it is my opinion.

yes, I agreed with the position I had to argue because I was sick when we did the group work part of this project so I had to do it solo and I chose to do the side a agreed with which was the con side.
