My First Year

my grade 9 year

This year I realized I learn best by only working on four subjects at a time which is why i like this semester system that we did not have in middle school, it has allowed me to concentrate on fewer subjects at a time so as a result i have been getting better marks in my classes

i chose the Duolingo website because this year i chose not to take a language as an elective but with Duolingo i was still able to learn a language outside of school and with Duolingo i have more language options than with a regular high school class for example i am currently learning Scottish Gaelic.

i chose this video because it has helped me calculate some square root numbers and it is especially useful to people like me who really struggle in math because she explains it really simply.

i chose this quote because i have a dream job i want to do one day but i am constantly second guessing if i am good enough for it and thinking i am never going to make it and that makes me want to give up but then i remember this quote and i remember that if i do give up then i will truly never make it and it inspires me to never give up.

sorry that I put the audio file on teams but everything that would let me put it on edublog was not working

Is it justified to deny peoples rights in the name of industrialization/ progress?

A) How did the use of AI assist you in developing this project 

i did not know a lot about this subject so I had to do some research

B) How did you ensure that the work you created was still your own, rather than just a product of the AI 

because a lot of the points that I talk about are my opinion, and I do not try to hide this fact because in the work sited on the work sheets I say that it is my opinion.

C) Did you agree with the position you had to argue? Why or why not?

yes, I agreed with the position I had to argue because I was sick when we did the group work part of this project so I had to do it solo and I chose to do the side a agreed with which was the con side.

· Why is it important to remember who benefits from the advertisement when you view an advertisement?

so that you know where your money is going and if it is even worth buying

· Choose one form of persuasion and explain why it is effective in persuading you/an audience: logical, ethical, emotional on an audience

ethical is really effective because it has people that you trust telling you to buy it

· Choose an advertising technique and explain why it is effective in selling a product.

i think card stacking is effective because your telling them about all of the great things about your product and saying bad things about others witch might convince some people

I sought, developed and weighed options as demonstrated by…

thinking about the fraises and going thru all of my options so that i could get the most out of my advertisement and so I could learn what each of them are.

I used to think that not many people would fall for their tricks about advertisement and now I know that they might not know about the trick and fully trust the ad’s because …

some of these tricks are so convincing that some people might not realize what is going on and might fully trust the ad’s because the might not know about it

One strategy or activity that stimulated my imagination on this project was…

the book, the fact that it was a fight to the death and that it is meant to be an enjoyment piece for the people in the capitol is what gave me the idea to do this advertisement
