In my opinion it is really important to eat and I’m going to tell you why. Eating is one of the most important things you can do in the day, along with sleeping. Food gives you lots of energy, without eating you will be grumpy. Sleeping is also a really big part of your day because without sleep you’d feel the same. This meal was at a restaurant and after I ate, I felt even better then before. In conclusion, Eating a good balanced meal is very important for your wellbeing and so is sleeping.
Core Competency Reflection
“I am kind to others, and support others when they need it.”
I demonstrate this by being in groups with people who don’t have full groups. I also would help people get their form right in our basketball unit.
“I participate in classroom or group activities that improve the class, school, or community.”
I demonstrate this by participating in every warm up, drill, game. I also help set up if needed.
“I can explain when something is unfair and advocate for others.”
I demonstrate this by speaking up for all my classmates when some of the teams are unfair.
So far, grade 9 has been pretty good. I really enjoyed most of my courses and I also got to make more friends! My favorite course was definitely drama 9 because I really enjoyed all the activities and plays we got to do and I also made quite a bit of friends in that class. Overall my first year has been pretty good and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for the rest of the year.
I chose YouTube because you can find lots of helpful videos on this website. YouTube can also be used for your entertainment and not just educational purposes, but it is a great website to use for educational reasons.
My Useful Educational Video
I chose this video because I personally am not strong in biology. This video helped me understand biology better then I already have.
One image that represents us
This is an image of my dog, it represents me because when I get up every morning this is how I am. I just don’t want to get out of bed but my parents make me so I give them this face.
An inspirational Quote
“You’re never going to be happy being anyone other than yourself.”
– Thibaut
I chose this quote because people always try to fit in with a group of people by trying to act like them and not yourself. This quote really stood out to me because this has happened to me once or twice and I regret the way I acted. If you have to be someone other than yourself to fit in, that’s not a place you want to be in.

Reflection Questions – Is violence justified during a protest.
A) How did the use of AI assist you in developing this project?
It definitely helped with research and made it easier to find all the information I needed.
B) How did you ensure that the work you created was still your own, rather than just a product of the AI?
I made sure that I changed the wording and some of the facts from the websites AI gave me. I also mixed up some of the information I got and reworded all of the facts.
C) Did you agree with the position you had to argue? Why or why not?
I do but I also don’t. I think violence should not be used in a protest but I do think it can be used ONLY when people feel the need to do it and they aren’t being heard. I do think there should be consequences for those people who use violence just for fun. I get it if people use it when they feel that it’s needed, because they actually have a reason to use violence but people who just use violence for fun have no reason, they just do it for clout.
Competency Reflection
When I need to work collaboratively with people I don’t know well, I try and make a conversation with them and I try to be respectful towards them and to my peers.
One of the ways I ensure my group is clear on the common purpose is to ask questions and check in on my group to make sure they know what we’re all doing.
In my life I have tons of stuff I stress about, this has always been an issue. I stress from school, sports, trying to balance my online problems from my real life problems, etc. Usually for me, stress comes from homework, due dates, game days, having arguments with friends/family and a lot more. I cope from this by taking walks by myself or with my dog, playing video games, sleeping, and watching TV. I find that sometimes these coping mechanisms don’t work for me depending on what I’m stressing about. Usually when I’m stressing about homework I try to get as much as I can done and if I don’t get whatever done I can always ask for an extension. When I’m stressing about my game days I try my best to stay calm and go with the flow, If I still can’t get calm I’d go outside and practice, practice is also anoIther coping mechanism that I feel like helps me. My favorite coping mechanisms would be playing video games and watching TV because I feel that its an escape from reality where you can just zone out and all your worries just go away, These coping mechanisms has always worked for me especially when the stress is really big. If the stress is a bit smaller then I’d try to get it over and done with then having it stick with me for a while. I think these coping mechanisms would really help people who are struggling with stress even if its just a bit of stress.
Technology for me is a huge part of my life but sometimes technology is the thing that gives me stress. Yes I love technology and its one of favorite things to be on in my free time, but its also a stressor towards me. I find that being on social media for to long can consume my brain with negative thoughts and emotions and can put me into a grumpy mood, but that depends on which apps I’m using. Usually technology is one of the things I go to when I’m stressed, I can always count on technology to put a smile on my face when I’m stressed. Technology has a big impact on me and a lot of other people. It can be toxic sometimes and positive sometimes, depends on how we all use it.
Core Competency Reflection
I find it easy to be part of a group.
I find it easy to be part of a group because I’m super social and love talking to people, but also because I find it easier to get my work done talking to people and getting help from them and also helping them. I feel that I work better with people then myself because I do NOT like being or working with myself.
I demonstrate respectful, inclusive behavior.
I demonstrate respectful and inclusive behavior towards my peers and teachers. I demonstrate this by starting conversations and listening to my peers and teachers and giving honest feedback.
I am kind to others, and support others when they need it.
I am kind to others, and support others when they need it most, I’ll always support my peers when they need to be supported and cared for. Always will and forever will be.
The way I figured out my characters Avatar was that the book gave good hints on like what she was wearing and how she looked, so I had a good understanding of what her avatar was going to look like.
How I choice the plot points were that the book gave specific detail on what the plot was and it gave me a pretty good idea on how the plot was going to look and how it was going to be presented.
I figured out my setting by listening to where the main plots took play, for example for my book I did Beth’s room because that’s where the main plot took place and that’s where a lot of stuff happened mostly in the book.
The mood of my book is kind of like a mysterious kind of mood, and the song I played was kind of like a eerie kind of vibe.

Some of the ways I work to build and maintain online relationships are staying connected with positive influences. Some of these positive influences are friends and celebrities. These online relationships make me feel comfortable and included in the world. I enjoy watching my friends and my favorite celebrities posts and commenting positive thoughts. I also enjoy watching funny videos of them. I enjoy this on a daily bases.
Some of my preferred strategies for maintaining a healthy, balanced online presences include limiting my time online, limiting unhealthy and negative posts, and keeping negative comments to myself. By limiting my time online, I have more time to do other things I enjoy. Some things I enjoy are being with my family, and helping out with them. I prefer not to go online when I’m upset because I don’t want to say anything I regret. If I think something negative I’ll keep it to myself instead of saying it out loud. This is how I maintain a healthy balanced online presences.
By doing positive stuff online, I make a positive difference to my peers. Some online positive stuff I do are saying happy birthday if it’s someone’s birthday, commenting positive stuff on my friends and families posts, overall spreading positive vibes. By posting positive comments it makes me feel good inside and strengthens my relationships with my peers. By posting these positive comments my peers do the same for me in return. This is another way for us to stay connected. This is why posting positive stuff online is important and encouraging for others.
