Textiles self assessment
This semester I made a long ruffled skirt. I found the skirt on Pinterest and wanted to make one for summer or spring. I’m very happy with the end result but wish I did some things better such ass my seams are not straight or making the fabric straight. Core competencies Communication for the project I asked for lots of help to make sure I was doing things right and I listened to feedback learned from it I also wanted input from my peers overall this project was challenging but I liked the end result.

creative thinking cc. When I was planning out my idea for this project. I wanted to do embroidery instead. I was looking on Pinterest for some ideas and got a collection of things I wanted to do .I love my cat and I wanted to make a picture of her surrounded by flowers. When I was making it I was on task but after we moved on to the next assignment I never finished . I planned to finish at home but never had the time. I really enjoyed embroidery it brought back some happy memories.

Creative Thinking) when making my paper quilling project I thought about many different things i wanted to make. I ended up making a mushroom charm and a mushroom on a base. when i was looking at what i wanted to make I used pinterest to find ideas. i found a tutorial that i followed at first but ended up making it myself. I thought about the size i needed the paper.

Creative thinking:I can develop a body of work over time. In the process of making my sculpture, I can do the planning and work it takes. It Normally takes me awhile to make something but once I have the basic ideas down I can continue to work smoothly.
what’s the word around town project
My reflection
When identifying how geography impacts the town it was easy manly because the lake was a popular destination and I was there once. How I was able to identify the physical geography was my work sheets that I got in class, they helped me out and I didn’t really need to do so much research since I had my sheets.
When thinking of the future I thought of other places and what they did and how I could incorporate it. I also thought of what would be popular there. I found some of the instructions confusing at first. Wish there were no big words in the instructions because that made it more confusing for me.
It was a bit frustrating on how to use the map hub I spent 1 hour trying to understand the program but, in the end, I fully understand how to use it and am happy with the results.
If I were to change anything about my project it would be adding more information about my topics. I was a bit rushed with this manly because I did It wrong the first time then I had to figure out what I did wrong.

My Digital Foot Print
When trying to find myself on the internet I was expecting to not have a digital footprint because I have no social media. I was right all along. I used quotation marks but still nothing came up. It was clear I was not online.
How I could keep my digital footprint safe:
1.Be mindful on what you post because you never know who could see it and what they would do with your information. Make sure what you post is respectful and kind.
2. Only post positive things about yourself and never anything bad that could affect you in the future. Showing your volunteer work is a good thing to post, it shows that you care about your community.
3. Make sure that you don’t share to much information about yourself such as where you live, what time you go to work and more. On the internet. you never know who could be behind the screen.
What I learned:
What I learned in the short amount of time is to know how a bad video or picture, comment can impact your future. The bad things that you did in the past can pop up again making it harder for you to go to school or get a job.Â
how this could impact me?
If someone wanted to hire me and tried searching me up, they wouldn’t find anything about me. making my chance of being hired a little higher to someone with a bad reputation, on the internet.
What I would say to someone else:
What I would say to someone is to think twice about what they post, make sure its respectful and doesn’t . I would also tell them you may not think it’s a big deal know but, in the future, it can resurface.Â

The past two weeks I have learned a lot about citing sources. I learned that you need to cite sources differently, such as it must be alphabetically in order, and must have the access date.
Something that I learned and would use again would be the citation machine. Using the citation machine made it so much easier to source my work, in the future if I’m ever in a situation where I must source my work, I’ll definitely use that in the later future.
Tools that helped me cite the information I got is the citation machine.
A strategy that I found helpful was the different ways to use google and the helpful tips that wore shown. I liked that it narrowed down what I was looking for and found the information that I wanted.
A source that I found gave me the best information would be National geographic. I like them the most because they gave me the best incite on what the topic was about, I also love watching their documentaries. I find that I learn a lot from them.
What I could improve on next time would be reading the sources information carefully to have more of a understanding to the topic I am doing.
