Study Smarter Not Harder
Five tips to study smarter
- Schedule time to study. Put aside some time in your day where you will just focus on studying and no outside distractions.
- Clear out distractions. Hide things that will distract you from studying or split your attention.
- Break your study time into smaller chunks. This will help you to stay focused on your task.
- Teach others. If you teach other students how to do the thing you studied, it will help you to lock the information into your brain.
- Test yourself on the study material. This will help you to be able to remember more volume of material and also recall it more accurately.
What can I do
In order for me to study smarter I will alter my day schedule to incorporate time for me to study. After diner I will gather my notes and homework, and I will go over them and ask myself questions about the material. I will make sure to spend at least 30 minutes a day (on the weekdays) to study and focus only on the task at hand. During this time, I will ask others to leave me alone so that I can work uninterrupted. That is what I will do to study smarter not harder.
