Progress and learning in grade 9
This semester I have improved on conjugating endings in French. At the beginning of the semester I wasn’t comfortable with conjugating regular and irregular verbs but I’m surprised with how much I’ve challenged my self during class and was able to improve on my weaknesses. Something I still struggle with is french pronunciations, my goal next year is to practice my pronunciation daily and consistently participate in class. I also want to work on knowing what possessive adjectives to use during sentence writing.
Mon abre de famile
I chose this project to reflect on because it shows the must growth of my French. For this project I needed to write and talk about my family using what I’ve learned in class. I chose to make my family tree look like a children’s book because I though it would unique. I used adjectives and rules for sentence structure to complete my tree. During the completion of this project I made sure also for help and get areas proof reader to insure I was handing in my best work.
If I were to do this project again I would spent more time on the visual aspect of it because I wasn’t able to draw pictures or include sentences in the book of everyone in my family. Although some parts didn’t go as planned I was very happy with my presentation because I had made sure I practiced speaking a lot leading up to the day.
Core competencies
COMMUNICATION
During French nine I was able to communicate my understanding through class discussions, various projects and activities we’ve done. I feel I express my understanding the most through projects, especially in my family tree because I was able to apply the most understanding of what I learned in class.
THINKING
In French nine I used my knowledge and skills to successfully complete all my assignments. I show a complete understanding of what we learn in class through my French writing.
