Flame Lab Test
I used the core competency communication ( I can work with others to achieve a goal) in my flame test lab. I used this competency to work with my partner to successfully complete this lab and the worksheet we also had to complete. Therefore I worked with others to achieve the goal of this science lab. During this activity I learnt the skill of being able to identify what types of liquids change the color of fire once held above a flame. One area I would like to grow in is my ability to ask questions as during this lab I didn’t ask many questions I had trouble answering myself.
Overall, in this course I felt confident when doing the labs and talking to my peers to make the dishes I’ve made so far. My strengths are my food folio writing and my baking because I have a lot of practice in those fields. My stretches are probably cooking meat as the meat I’ve cooked in this course turn out a bit dry and chewy.
I can form new ideas to create new things. I chose this one because I demonstrated this when I used my ideas to create a character that represents me. I also expanded on these ideas to add smaller details which made an impact to create a more detailed character.
I work with others to achieve a goal. I chose this one because I worked with my friend to complete this project. I helped my friend by giving him ideas to complete this project and he helped me to complete it too.
I can identify and describe my qualities. I chose this one as I described my qualities by writing about them in my project in a paragraph. I identified my qualities by thinking about things I have done in the past which would reflect om who I am and be a good quality.
I can tell what is important to me and I can explain my values. I chose this because I showed what was important to me by writing about myself and what I feel is important. I can also explained my values when writing about them in my paragraph.
Examples of where I communicate clearly and purposefully can be seen throughout the whole of my presentation because I rehearsed and memorized my presentation so I could look at my audience while presenting.
Evidence that I can acquire information about complex and specialized topics from various sources, synthesize it, and present it with thoughtful analysis can be found in my slides because I searched the internet for information to import into my slides to create a complex and specialized presentation to present it with thoughtful analysis.
One thing i could work on is selecting images and words to create impact for different audiences. One way I could do this is practice by creating a presentation for a different age groups and make it relevant to them. I will do this be selecting images and words to create an impact for a different audience.
I chose the bandwagon technique to create my poster by writing “Everyone’s Got One. So Why Don’t You?”. This sentence was supposed to persuade people to buy this toy car by quoting that everyone has one so that the viewer feels the need to get one themselves so that they fit in. The second technique I chose was the Special Offer technique. I implemented this by writing “Limited edition” to try and persuade the viewer that they had a limited time to purchase this item. I chose the blue colour for my writing because it compliments the car and its colour. I used these words to try and persuade the viewer to by the product by using the bandwagon technique and the special offer technique. I used a nice wooden back round so that so that the advertisement is easy to read and it compliments the car. Others who aren’t in my class should know that advertisements trick you into buying the product. If you ever see an advertisement for something you should know that its probably tricking you into buying something you’ll regret by using different techniques to trick you.
Core Competency Reflection
One strategy or activity that stimulated my imagination on this project was when I made the picture. I had to use my imagination to imagen what I wanted my picture to look like using the AI feature on Canva.
This is how I selected images and words to create impact for my planned audience: I used bright colors that jumped at the viewer for my image; I used an advertisement technique for my words that would persuade the viewer to buy my product.
Is Violence Justified During A Protest Or Revolution
The use of Ai assisted me in this project because it gave me ideas to complete the documents.
I ensured the work I created was still my own and not a product of AI by tweaking some of its ideas and putting down in the documents where i have used AI.
I disagreed with my position i had to argue because i feel violence gets the idea of the revolution across quicker than without violence.

Personal/social competency reflection
My online support network is helpful to me because they can guide me in my projects or home work.. For example I used the website my teams ADL told me to use which showed my works cited and helped me to avoid plagiarism. Some of the ways I work to build and maintain online relationships are saying only positive things online. I have demonstrated this through my assignment by using positive websites online. I make digital ethical choices such as considering commenting of others post in order to maintain a positive digital foot-print. I have demonstrated this in my assignment by learning to consider commenting on others posts by looking at an educational website.
Digital Footprint Image & Paragraph
It is important to maintain a positive digital foot-print and here are some reasons why. One way a teenager can maintain a positive digital foot-print is they can share their experiences, challenges, and concerns about their digital foot-print. It is important to maintain a positive digital foot-print as some of things you do online can affect your educational prospects such as getting into colleges and university’s. Although social media and technology can be good thing there are some harmful aspects of it. Some examples I have researched is that social media can cause anxiety, isolation and depression. To prevent this you can set a time limit on the social media apps you use daily such as Tik Tok, Instagram, Snapchat excerpta. Because of the many cons of technology in a teenagers i will explain a few ways teenagers can use technology safely and positively. One way to use technology safely is to view appropriate and educational sites online and on social media. One way teenagers can use technology positively is to talk to their friends online when unable to see each other in person. In conclusion it is important to keep a positive digital foot-print as it can affect yourself and others.
