one of the main traditions in El Salvador is national Pupusa day where they celebrate their most popular foods while in Canada, we do not have a national pupusa day.

Played against Honduras during the football war. For these reasons he’s called El Magico (the magic one).  Carlos Famoso Hernandez, the first person to knock down Floyd Mayweather. One of the most respected boxers to ever fight. He made a dream come true by becoming El Salvador’s first world champion once he defeated David Santos. Thousands of people watched, including the, at the time president.

First, we start with the capital city San Salvador. San Salvador has a population of 2.4 million San Salvador has big cathedral and has the museum of the National Museum of Science and Industry. coming in second place is the volcano Santa ana people visit this spot because it has a blue lake near the middle of the volcano third is Joya de Ceren archelogies park it is an archeologist park so archeologist visit it to look at what going on there and yea fourth is devil’s door devil’s door is a beautiful place and has a nice view and hikers would probably go here.

The Muso De Arte Popular is a good introduction for people new to El Salvador to see the traditional forms of art that they use, like painting, and sculpting. The similarly named Muso De Arte de El Salvador also showcases the same forms of arts. This museum occasionally sets up live shows and music performances. An artist of the month also helps lesser-known artists gain a following. The first art gallery known to feature art from international artists is the Galeria-1-2-3. Street art is a very prevalent thing to see in El Salvador, across walls, buildings, and towns. Some raising awareness for different issues, like social justice. A painting by Dagoberto Nolasco caught my attention, after researching I can say that it’s one of the most meaningful paintings I’ve ever seen. This painting was done as a sort of memorial and emotional outlet, to the El Salvador Civil War of the late 1980’s. A chaotic, violent, and sad painting. La Mascarce de los Santos Inocentes. The Massacre of the holy innocents.

Salvadorian music is diverse and varied. Traditional Salvadorian music is very religious and cultural, with the lyrics about the history of El Salvador. Marimba, the folklore like music that is used in dances and performances. This Music style was introduced to El Salvador by African slaves. There are other music forms such as Chanchona, Zafacite, and Cumbia, Salsa, Merengue. 

conclusion would I want to visit this country?

in conclusion i would not want to visit El Salvador for me personally because most the cool things there at the moment are just really big churches and I wouldn’t want to go just to visit churches for me the only real reason is to try their food but that isn’t enough to make me want to go.

core competency reflection

1 I can form new ideas to make new thing also build on the ideas of others. for this project we had to works in groups of two you and someone else where at the end when we created are poster, we really didn’t know what to do and are ideas kept getting better because we kept building Apon them coming to a volcano in the background at the end.

2 I can ask and receive feedback to progress in my goals. for writing the script to what i was going to share in the poster we had to research stuff during research i would ask my partner for feedback if we need more of something or less of something or if something needed to be better to progress toward my goal of getting a good mark for this project.

3 I can Analise evidence to make judgments. for this project we had to go over a bunch of evidence of certain things to find what we going to write about and some of that evidence on website was false so me and my partner would look over multiple websites to see if that information we got was true of false.

4 I can tell if a judgment is a fact or opinion. for this project like in the last I can statement we went over multiple websites for information to see if some information is a lie opinion or actually true.

one goal for myself going forward.

I can reflect on my thinking. in school this is what I want to work on because when a reflection comes up, I have a hard time thinking of bad stuff so this is something I would want to really get better at in the future.
