Spanish 10 Core Competency Reflection

Core Competency- Collaboration

In this project, I used my collaboration skills to complete this. I used my problem solving skills and communication skills to talk with my teammates and finish this project, as well I also was actively listening to their ideas and worked together to complete and hand it in to the best of our abilities. I would like to improve in my time management to complete my work with time to spare.

Why is this my best work?

This is my best work because I showed and used a lot of my skills like using Microsoft word and I had to make this very precise.

What is my biggest takeaway in CLE?

My biggest takeaway in CLE is learning and discovering some of my strengths and weaknesses, exploring different carrer paths using tools like ChatterHigh, My Blueprint and Education Planner, making, learning and developing my resume, learning how to write a cover letter and how to prepare for an interview, thinking about finances and the future, learning about different Career-Life balance and developing strategies for positive mental health and good stress coping strategies that can relive stress.

Core Competency reflection

I gained knowledge and experience in a variety of essential talents, including communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, and technology abilities. I also learned that while creating a resume, i needed to carefully consider what particular skills will help me stand out from other applicants. This requires knowing the specific requirements of the position as well as figuring out how to best describe my experiences in order to demonstrate my fit for it. I also came up with unique methods to highlight my qualifications. creating a resume helped me build my main talents and prepared me for the job application process. These gained competencies will benefit me not only in my professional and personal life, but also in the very difficult hiring process of today.

This assignment demonstrated creative thinking to come up with the slam poem and communication because i presented in front of the whole class. this will help me in the future because i got practice talking in front of a big group of people. i also know how to use different and more complex words to amp up my writing. i also learnt a new writing style which i liked a lot because it is very different.

Reflection

Posting something on the internet can benefit you in the future or make things worse, even just commenting negatively on others posts can affect you badly. For example, if you comment something negative on someone else’s post, it can hold you back from getting a job, going to a good university or even fire or expel you just because of that negativity on the internet. So its important to always post something positive, comment positively and try to have a positive mindset in everything you are doing.

I can think “outside the box” to get innovative ideas and persevere to develop them

I can get new ideas that are innovative and that people have may not seen before, and have an impact on my classmates, teachers or anyone who looks at my projects. I try and create my projects to the best of my ability and take my ideas and develop them into my projects.

I can understand and share information about a topic of interest in a clear, organized way by trying my best to put my best work forward and have my work fully organized and accessible to anyone and put forward important and reliable information.

I remain open minded as I explore viable options or alternative approaches, like when I go to do a project I keep an open mind to different ideas.

This year I enjoyed learning new things from my different teachers and making a lot of new friends in school. One of the things that stuck with me that I learnt is how much responsibility highschoolers have and the amount of homework we get.

Comparison to canada

Brazil’s sport is soccer while Canada’s sport is hockey and lacrosse. Brazil traditions is dancing and playing soccer and canada’s is cooking and playing sports. A national landmark in brazil is Christ the redeemer statue and in canada is the parliament hill. A famous soccer player in brazil is neymar jr while a famous hockey player in canada is Conner Mcdavid. I would love to go back to my home country Brazil again.

I can ask and respond to questions to be an active listener meaning i can respond to questions that i know the answers go and i pay attention to whom is talking.

I can identify and describe my qualities meaning i know what im capable of doing and what im not.

In this assignment improved my reading by researching about dogs to make this PowerPoint. I also grew in my public speaking to speak in front of the class and I also grew my writing skills by making this PowerPoint that I am very proud of.

My Core Competency I chose was “Communication” and I chose this one because to make this assignment I needed to persuade my reader that dogs are better than cats, and to do that I needed to communicate and make the reader be on the same page as I am. I also chose this because I needed to present this assignment in front of the class which includes public speaking.
