Nausea

The Book Review Process

I’m not the type of person who reads books often, yet I had picked up this book a year prior, and dropped it a few pages in. This book review project was finally a reason for me to finish it. I’m glad I got to finishing it, after completing the book, I really found an appreciation for it.

The book discusses vulnerable topics such as suicide, the meaning of existence, and existential anguish, told in a diary-like format. I never would’ve expected such a meaningful outcome from a dull book, where the protagonist is able to change with his new shift of perspective about life in such a unique way, which i found incredibly beautiful.

Presenting in front of large groups of people is not my specialty, therefore, presenting my review to the class was an obstacle I had to overcome.

I completed reading Nausea in the beginning of school year, and I truthfully believe this has ended up being one of my favourite reads. The message it delivered made such an impact on me that I still look back on it often.
