Curricular Competency & Content Reflection

To make a wise choice, you need to consider both sides. similar to both primary and secondary sources. An excellent illustration would be the War of 1812. I never fully understood what immigration meant in the past. I learned a lot about the proper definition of it thanks to this project. Immigrants aren’t simply casual vacationers. Behind it, there is a genuine fight, and occasionally, lives are lost. My knowledge of immigrants, the CPR (Canadian Pacific Railway), the RCMP, the War of 1812, and sources has helped me obtain material more easily now. You might not understand them, but to me anything can alter your entire perspective. All those events had made a new pathway in my head. This pathway doesn’t think for itself. It lets the sides of the story be said, then think of possibilities. The difference is that now my brain doesn’t accuse stuff so easily, and I can analyze my thoughts better.

Core Competency Reflection

One of my biggest goals that I’m working towards to achieve is to get a gold scholar next year, and to learn fluent Russian or French. I will take summer classes to expand my knowledge of schoolwork. I will maintain a proper schedule; I will go to the gym and continue my taekwondo as a free time exercise. I will do anything, Duolingo, coding websites, free sign-up classes, tutoring, extra-credit stuff, etc. I am doing this because I need to have it on my resume, plus my personal satisfaction. Not my parents though, they don’t mind, I do.

My strategies for collecting relevant information for specific tasks is to ask questions and be open to new suggestions. Collecting good information can be quite hard sometimes. The brain can eventually overthink and lose its ability to creative think. This is why taking a 10-minute break is a must during those times.

I notice when people feel left out, I make sure they feel included by asking them questions about the topic. I also try to make others make them feel included as well. I try to make everyone comfortable in our group.

Some of the ways I work to build and maintain relationships are to talk. Communication is key, even though some friendships don’t need frequent talking, mostly some do. By talking, you know each other’s feelings and can help build trust.
