French 9- reflection

From day one to now. Have you improved? What surprised you? What are you still finding challenging?

I’ve always wanted to learn French, at day one I had huge enthusiasm about how much I’m going to learn, and I still have the same enthusiasm. My excitement for the French language is still the same, I know French is a very complex language, which is one of the reasons why I love it. From day one, which I only knew bonjour, oui and croissant, I can most certainty say I have improved. I mean, it would be very disappointing if I’m still in square one, right?

The amount of conjugation for every verb, the memorization of feminine and masculine, the false cognates, and over all the grammar surprised me. At first I learnt the verbs avoir and être. Seemed easy enough, but not when I had to memorize 10 other verb conjugations…..must admit though, that listening to French conversations and trying to make sense of them still poses a challenge.

Describe what you had to do and reflect on your work habits and core competencies when doing the project/assignment. What went well? What might you do differently if you were to do it again?

One of my favorite projects I did was the restaurant skit. Me and my partner made a life size yellow crane and we portraited it as a dog (ironically). I was the server with a homemade Greek God themed menu. Probably the most effort I’ve put in for a menu in my life. Anyhow, everything went well in my opinion.

I wouldn’t change a thing if I were to do it again.
