Personal/ Social Reflection

Reflection

Competency #1: I can gather, select, evaluate and synthesize information. One example of this is shown in my ADL Social Studies – Ethical Judgement project. I was able to find and take information, put it into my own words and turn it into a project.

Competency #2: I can explore and engage with materials and sources. I am able to incorporate the given resources into my work an example of this is while writing my Coffin Ship Letter I could remember reading about how people in the Coffin Ships lived, and pretending that I was living through that too.

Coping with Stress and Anxiety: 

Some of my main causes of stress and anxiety are family stuff and school work. After learning about new strategies I will be going on walks when I am stressed. I can demonstrate self-regulation and use coping strategies for stress such as taking naps after stress works for me, I will always be using this strategy for me sometimes sleeping makes me think more logically about the situation later.

Healthy Digital Device Use:

Main causes of stress including my device, is it being a distraction is at home. Doing my home work at home I have the freedom of having my phone on and playing. I tend to end up watching more than doing my work this causes my stress because I know I need to do my work and Im just putting it aside. I can make decisions and take steps to support my well-being, including a healthy and balanced lifestyle with my device time by setting time limits and or delete some over used apps.

THREE PROMTS

My online support network Teams is helpful to me because they help me hand in assignments, find homework, and keep me in the know.

I think my experiences as a digital citizen, such as wanting to promote a business influenced my choice of courses because I am taking business to learn more about having my own business and trying to get it known.

Some of my preferred strategies for maintaining a health, balanced online presence include following more than one school, not posting what school I go to, and not saying things bad about people online.
