Our first project for this class was to design a kitchen cabinet. It was frustrating when I was creating this because I kept deleting certain surfaces of the cabinet and I need to redo the part or not notice it when I have already drawn another surface on top of that. Figuring out what dimensions I should make the drawers, shelves, the handles, the thickness of the wood, etc. was also a challenge because I need to keep in mind how big this cabinet would be in real life, like would this cabinet be able fit through a door. Throughout this project, I learned to keep in mind about how each piece are connected to each other and really try to think about it as a 3-dimensional object. Especially the bottom part of the cabinet, I forgot that inside of those drawers have their own separate compartments.

  • I can monitor my progress and adjust my actions to make sure I achieve what I want.
  • I can make my ideas work or I change what I am doing.
  • I can build on other’s ideas and add new ideas of my own, or compile people’s ideas in new ways to create new things or solve straight forward problems.
