What went well during this trip was getting to enjoy everyone’s company especially when we were hiking up to Tin Hat. I have many fond memories after despite the cons outweighing the the pros. One memory is at the third day of our trip and me and other people were hanging out in the hut. We played Uno and Chase the Ace, found out that some are really good at massaging shoulders, and a lot of braiding hair.

What challenged me was the hike up to Tin Hat, it pushed all my physical and mental will to it’s limit to for me to be able to get through. I was lucky enough that there were people that stayed with me and helped me keep moving.

If I were to do it again, I would pack a smaller sleeping bag and less snacks. I would also pack big trash bags instead of ziplocs and plastic bags because it has more uses.

The class should have had more day trips with our packs instead of our regular school bags. We never carried our packs for a long amount of time on our previous trips. Another way that could have prepared the class was trying to build our stamina up more by going on more hikes with our actual packs instead.
