Stock Market: Self Assessment

Curricular Response

My best performing stock was the iShares (XIU) and my worst performing stock was Vanguard (VOO). I think my choices were somewhat risky but not risky enough for me to lose a lot. To make it less of a risk instead, I could’ve monitored regularly until it was an easier decision/risk to take or just invest in a different stock. It seems to me that my portfolio wasn’t balanced. I could invest to make my portfolio more balanced and make sure my assets are in check.

Core Competency Self Assessment

I researched for a lot of information since it was my first time buying stocks and I was just experimenting so I could get a hang of it in the future. I do believe that I will be investing in the future since this helped me get a hand of the low basics. One thing I learned that has changed my way of thinking things is when and how to buy stocks. That information that I didn’t know about before made me think that most people actually don’t know when or how to buy stocks properly.
