Today in science class, we used toothpicks to scrape cheek cells off of our inner cheek, we then rubbed the toothpicks off on a slide to get the cells on and put a drop of blue dye on it so the cheek cells would be visible. A cover slide was then put on the slide so the microscope lens wouldn’t get dye on them and so that all the cells would be dyed. I then looked at the cheek cells on low power, medium power and high power. I took a picture of each cell by putting my phone camera up to the microscope lens and taking the picture.
I liked working with the cheek cells as I got a clear view of them and I enjoyed looking for the individual cells. I’m also happy with the pictures I took.
