About me

My favorite quote

Quote: “Be the change that you wish to see in the world”

-Mahatma Gandhi

I chose this quote because it’s simple but has a lot of meaning. To sum it up, the quote tells us that if you want the world to change, then be the one who makes it happen. This quote makes me think, “If I wanted to change the world, could I really make it happen? and “What in our world would need to be changed?”.

My favorite video: The Egg

I find this video very interesting and meaningful. It follows the story of a man who dies in a car crash and meets God in the afterlife. They talk about the meaning of life and the man soon discovers that he represents all of humanity, as God’s child. This video makes me think about whether or not my life and what I do during it will really make a difference and if humanity will ever mature and grow fully as God intended.

My Favorite Picture:

This is House of Stairs, a lithograph by M.C Escher. I chose this picture because I find it fascinating. When I see this picture, I wonder where all the stairs lead to and if they’re all somehow connected. I also really enjoy this picture because it reminds me of my grandfather who sketched similar works of art like this one. I originally found this lithograph in an M.C. Escher artbook/biography that was given to me by my grandfather, but I got the image from Wikiart.org

My Favorite Website

My favorite website is YouTube.com. I chose this site because it has a wide range of different videos for almost anything. For example: if I’m struggling with a homework concept, I could watch a video to help me understand it, if I want to listen to music, there’s a vast amount of YouTube channels for each genre to suit my interests. In conclusion I greatly enjoy going on YouTube and the amount of content on the site grows more and more each day. http://www.youtube.com
