Examples of where I communicate clearly and purposefully can be seen in… School. When I am at school i communicate clearly with my teacher and friends. Like when I am in the auto shop I communicate clearly with everyone in the shop by speaking very loud so they can hear me clearly.
In discussions and conversations, I help to build and extend understanding by… asking more questing. Like when I am in English class or any other class I ask as many question as I can to help me fully understand what I am learning .
I show others that I truly value their contributions by… thanking them for doing their part in the group assignment. Like in this assignment on writing an essay I thanked my group partner fir doing his part even though he could not make it to school.
I make ethical choices such as…in order to… I have always been making good ethical choices and my goal would be to continue making those good choice. Making good ethical choices helps me be more strict on my self to do better in school and other aspects of life.
I can identify ways in which my strengths can help me meet challenges, and how my challenges can be opportunities for growth. I am using this picture because this semester I rebuilt it. I took it all apart while taking many measurements and then I put the whole engine back together. I fixed and rebuilt many things this semester in auto but I choose rebuilding this Honda engine. rebuilding this engine shows my strength of loving hands on activities and how hard I work when I get given hands on tasks.
I choose this picture because I love doing hands on activities in my free time. This picture is one of the examples of why I love hands on activities. This Charger was sitting in my Nonna’s garage alongside with a corvette stingray but me and my uncle already fixed that one up. I took this picture when me and my uncle were cleaning out the garage and getting ready to fix the car. The charger has been sitting for over 20 years so we had to move a lot of stuff around and had to deal with a lot of spiders. In this picture it shows the floor jack under the car. I learned how to use a floor jack in my automotive classes at the school and I also learned from those classes where the best jack points are to jack the car up safely so you wont damage the car. So after we get the charger out of the garage we are going to rebuild the engine and repaint the car.

My strengths can help me meet my challenges because I keep on trying and don’t give up. Some people when they face a challenge they just give up but I don’t do that. Because I don’t give up and stay committed when a challenge gets in my way it gives me more opportunities for growth.
Resolution: college education should be free to all citizens of a country

My Debate was about college education being free. I was debating on the con side so I had to agree that college education should not be free. One of the arguments me and my partner thought of for the debate were how if they have free education people taxes will go up by a lot. The other side (pro side) was arguing that if they have free education it will give people more opportunities and they wont have to pay for College education because it is very expensive.
My Debate Reflection
Debating helped me be more confident in talking in front of people. It also helped me a little bit with my stuttering and speaking louder. Throughout the debating unit I realized I learn best and can make a better speech for my debate when the topic i am debating about is something I like and easier for me to understand.

Communication
Throughout the entire semester communicating happened a lot. We would communicate a lot in our table groups and even with our partners for projects. Like the big project we had to communicate a lot in was doing debates. While we did debates you didn’t just communicate with your partner but you also communicated with the people you are arguing against. We also got to Collaborate with a lot of people because our seating plans would change up so much we got the chance to talk to people that we don’t normally talk to as much.

I knew my partner and I were working well together when we both have solid information and are working hard on the project/assignment. I have had to so this a lot throughout the semester especially for debates when me and my partner had to write our debate speeches and we had to make sure we were talking about the same information.

I remain open minded as I explored my topic and how I would develop my argument as evidenced like how my group did a lot of research and though about ideas of the pros and cons of the topic.

When I was faced with ambiguity or setbacks in the debating unit, I just kept on researching and tried my best to not give up. I asked for help from a few different teachers and tried my best to understand the topic of the debate and after a while I researching and asking questions i was able to have a better understanding of the topic.
The things that have gone well for me this year would be school. I have been doing way better than I normally would be doing in school. I think track and field has been going well for me this year because it is my first time doing discus and now I qualified for the BC finals. I think that this year I have been more focused in my classes and in sports and I have been improving a lot more.

For this project I used critical and reflective thinking to build the cabin and problem solve with building it. I was able to reflect on my thinking when I was building the tree like what was the best way to do it and think about all my options. I was able to think of new ideas to create new things to add to my cabin project. Like some examples where I built some idea where when I was making a 3d tree and a 2d boat and fish and a girl named Cheyenne made me bushes and a floor mat that says live laugh love for some reason.
My strengths in inquiry for this project were researching. I researched a lot in this project to gather information and figure out what things meant. like I used google and a bunch of websites to find information and learn more about Jean Augustine. I researched a lot on what PC CM OOnt CBE meant because never seen it before and didn’t know what it means but after I did research on it I found out what it meant.

My core competency is communicating because in assignments and project I am able to communicate about what I am doing like in the project I did about Jean Augustine I can understand and share information about a topic clearly and purposefully. In the project I was able to give good information and explain clearly on what she did that was so important. In class I can ask and respond to questions to be an active, supportive listener like when I was doing this project I asked a lot of questions and listened to advice to help me make my project better.
My journals helped learn more about the character and know more about the book. The journals helped me prepare for the final presentation because I had all the information I needed for the final presentation. The graphic organizer helped me come up with more ideas to talk about for my presentation. It helped me get a better understanding of what the theme is for the book. When we participated in the circles it helped me think about more ideas I could talk about for the final presentation and it helped listing to how other people understood the book especially when they where reading the same book as me. I chose the personal connection peace because it was easy for me to do and i thought it was the best way I could show the main part in the book.

In metal 10 Mr. Kent taught me how to use the lathe machine. I listened well while he explained how to use it and showed us all the power points. there isn’t really anything I could have done differently I am pretty good at using the machine. Mr. Kent is a really good teacher and he explains things really well.
