Overdose could be anywhere around me but in these situations there are now ways to be prepared. Having access to naloxone kits is a method of preparation. Substance use is normalized in our communities. Which makes it easier to access for more people. However these drugs have side affects and consequences to be wary of as well. Even is they aren’t as severe as the effects of harder drugs. These sessions impact my life by making me aware of the risks if I or someone I know were to try one of these drugs. I know who to call in case of emergencies. These sessions also provide me with the resources and skills to sedate an emergency.
