Scrambled Egg Snack

This is a quick snack I made for in between lunch and dinner, it was very easy to make. It smells like ham and eggs, it also looks healthy which is good. I think next time I’ll add fresh avocados on the side. I accidentally popped the first egg yoke, but it still tasted fine. The second egg turned out pretty good. I think my greatest success for this dish is the way I presented it, looks really organized. I think I’m most proud of how the second egg I made turned out!

Family Traditions: Our Beef Burgers

This is my family’s traditional beef burger dish. It smells amazing and is very tasty! My grandma has always made these burgers, she made them for my mom and her siblings. She makes them for me sometimes when I visit in the summer. While cooking the patty I thought I burnt it, but then it turned out perfect! I think my greatest success is how it tasted. It reminds me of a healthier version of a Big Mac from McDonald’s. I’m most proud of the beef patty I made.

Onion Tomato Omelette

This is a basic omelet recipe I made up myself, it’s pretty easy to make. Tastes quite good too. You can pretty much side it with any type of fruit or vegetable. If I make this dish again I shall add peppers. No challenges occurred. I’m most proud of the way it turned out, it looks aesthetically pleasing.

Recipe:
2 eggs
One small slice of chopped onion
¼ of a tomato (more if you want)
¼ cup of cheese
Instead of using oil to grease the pan, I used leftover beef grease from a previous meal from today.

Instructions:
Preheat to low
Crack 2 eggs and whisk, then add in chopped tomato and onion.
Then pour the mixture into the pan.
Let it vibe on the pan for like 2 minutes.
Then flip.
Flip again and then add cheese.
Then flip.
Then apply the omelet to the plate.

Sautéed Bok Choy and Rice

I made this dish last week, it doesn’t take that long to cook and tastes very satisfying. The garlic is strong but smells good after cooking. The bok choy still remained bright green. The bok choy sizzled. I had no challenges this was very easy to make. Preparing the ingredients before hand and crushing the garlic. I’m most proud of how the bok choy turned out, it tasted very good. It reminded me of the bok choy we order at the Chinese restaurants.

  • 2 tbsp of sesame oil
  • 2 cups of cooked rice

Tapioca Pudding

I bought the tapioca pudding box at Safeway, therefore, it isn’t homemade but still very delicious! I followed the directions on the box, I wrote them above. No challenges occurred. It turned out really thick and creamy so that’s pretty good for my first try at this dish.

Ingredients:
3 tbsp Tapioca
¼ cup sugar
2-3/4 cups of milk
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla

Directions: Mix the Tapioca, sugar, milk and 1 egg lightly beaten in medium saucepan. Let stand for 5 minutes. Bring to a full rolling boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Stir in 1 tsp vanilla. Cool 20 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes. (Pudding will thicken as is cool)

And 1 triangle of Laughing Cow Cheese

Directions: boil egg for 12 minutes, after egg is cooked slice and garnish

Using What I Already Have

These are Pillsbury chocolate chip cookies. I was looking forward to making chocolate chip cookies from scratch, but there is literally no flour for purchasing. So the next best thing was Pillsbury Cookie Dough, they actually taste quite good. The recipe for these cookies is below. I wouldn’t change anything about this dish, but next time I think I’ll spread out the cookie dough more. No challenges occurred. They ended up very chewy and delicious overall.
