Project Mesopotamia VS Egypt

Contrast of two civilization about the art and sculptures of Ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia

Curricular Competency

Our group project was the focus on Ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia art and sculptures. By comparing and contrasting the changes and continuities about how different art styles and creations have developed through time. Breaking down different questions to answer that allows to see the difference and similarities in materials, how art became to be, famous art pieces, and what aspects stayed the same over time. Where these are examples on demonstrating the contrast between the two civilizations. By researching and taking information from educational resources such as Britannica. As it has detail on the topic with how the different periods of Mesopotamia evolve through Sumer, Babylonia, and Assyria. When gathering information, our task was to create a bibliography to give credit on where we got the research from. Therefore, no plagiarism would be stain to the project. I analyze and evaluate the data to create connections and illustrate how art affected the civilizations through social impact.

Communication Core Competency

The Communication Core Competency was demonstrated within this project within my 3 other members for creating this project. By sharing our skills, knowledge and transforming ideas from one another. We were able to acquire the information together to develop further learning and to have the process done more efficiently. We were able to discuss the different jobs on what is assign to each person to avoid problems. Questions would be ask while working on the project to have proper clarifications to understand the concept or obstacle that comes across. To make sure we were on task, we checked up on one another to see what has been done so far and what was still needed to accomplish. Encouraging one another in the process to maintain positive and have motivation to allow us to keep working. As a group, we were able to build and extend understanding by discussing and having conversations during extra time given or going into flex to go through the project before presenting it.
