Life Saving Measures

With CPR chest compress, I basically learned that the Bee Gee’s song gate and the disco hit from 1977 used to train medical professionals to provide correct number of chest compressions per minute while performing CPR.

It is totally ok for the patient to have a broken ribcage from the compressions because if you were a doctor and you had to save their life, impacting the ribs would be the way to go.

The impact on these sessions may have on my life will be desperately trying to save someone I know and love while memorizing the CPR basics if I want my loved one to live.

Critical and Reflective Thinking Competency Reflection

I can analyze my own beliefs and consider views that do not fit with them. Or analyze something different like breathing through the mouth hole or getting the object that is choking them out of their throats.

Making and Sharing Reflection

Making: To make Montreal Bagels, you need dough, yeast, and a kitchen aid electric mixer. make sure you mix neatly. DO NOT OVERMIX! thank you. 🙂

Sharing: if I wanted to make a full breakfast, I would actually make homemade bacon and egg bagels for my family, it would take a lot of work but it would be worth it.

Core Competency Reflection

I learned that bagels can be boiled and float upwards in the cooking process, and you have to flip them over to boil on another side just like in a frying pan. While working in the kitchen, I help to build and extend understanding by wanting to make one of my favorite breakfasts with my friends, even by wanting to decorate them.

Making and Sharing Reflection

  1. MAKING

A. Breakfast Hash is quite an easy dish to make, all you need is a spatula, potatoes/hashbrowns or other vegetables and it took about 20 minutes.

2. SHARING

I would have to share with my mother because she loves this so much and I should make it with her one morning.

Core Competency Reflection

Examples of where I communicate clearly and purposefully can be seen in my station as I cooked with partner, I did not argue or ranted at all in my time.

While working in the kitchen, I help to build and extend understanding by using the Mise En Place to my advantage, as well as not leaving my cooking unattended and even making real Hashbrowns from potatoes.

I show others that I truly value their contributions by always saying thank you and being kind, this is one of my best strengths because i always show people I value them especially “Mrs. Chew”.

I know the group is working well together when I hear no Goofing around, food fighting or tomfoolery. I for example, always is serious and care for my work for it to get done.
