Northwest Rebellion Timeline- Talia

Reflection:

How I figured out if the information I gathered was reliable was by checking multiple sites. If I saw on multiple sites that an event happened on the same day every time, I know its reliable. I chose to use Sway because I’m familiar with the program, and I didn’t want to create an account for anything. Also, I personally like interactive projects like Sway presentations because you can move down on the page to keep reading. I’m very happy with the end result of my design. It took a lot of time to make and I’m proud of it. To refine my assignment in the future, I would have gotten more of it done at school instead of having to do so much of it at home.

Love Poetry Anthology- Talia

Reflection:

I think what is innovative about my visual presentation is that every slide looks different from one another and not just the same colors and fonts on every page. I generated ideas when working on this project by thinking, “If I were to read this book, what I would want it to look like and what order the pages would be.” What I like about my visual representation is that it’s filled with color. Color makes everything look more interesting. What I would improve on next time is maybe taking advantage of class time more, even though I worked on it a lot in class, I could have probably gotten more done. I learned that I can be creative enough to make the project that I pictured in my head into a reality. The platforms like Powerpoint and Flipsnack definitely make it a lot easier.

Speech Unit Reflection- Talia

During this process/unit I learned how to properly create a “works cited” page, which I think is a very useful thing to know for the future. To create my citations I used Citation Machine because to me, it was the easiest to use. Instead of looking at people’s personal opinions on why movies should be censored and restricted, I looked at the pros and cons of censorship in movies which gave me another perspective while researching. To improve my research skills, I think I could find more ways to research a topic than just type questions into the browser (use key words and stuff like that).

Reflection

a. It wasn’t that hard to find a problem with my innovation because everyone knows that there used to be cocaine in Coca-Cola, and after I read about the cocaine, I saw the article on the bottling industry.

b. Being imaginative was pretty easy for me because I’m always day dreaming and coming up with new ideas. All I did was think about what could possibly make this drink better than it is right now. The best possible thing is if it gave you the magical power to fly, but that’s beside the point.

c. I was very happy with the end result of my presentation, design and solution wise, I put a lot of time into this presentation and I think that’s clear.

d. Maybe I would cut down the size on “the fours” paragraphs, because I feel like they drag on a bit, and I would add a bit more to the “innovation” parts.
