“I can contribute to and use simple criteria” 

I chose this “I can” statement because I follow criteria to the best of my abilities. For one of the first sketchbook projects I did, the first drawings I needed to complete were five separate drawings of my hand in different positions. The first four could be two to a page and drawn as just an outline and some simple details, while the fifth had to cover a full page and be complete with details and shading. I followed these instructions but contributed to them by putting my all into all five drawings when it came to the details and shading. Not only did this look better than doing a simple outline and a few small details, it also helped me better my understanding of shading. In addition, it acted as a somewhat trial-and-error stage, so I didn’t need to erase much when working on the fifth and final hand.
