Our Utopian City: Winter Forest City

Here is the city Chloe and I designed.

This is a small quaint city with a low population. It’s like a tourist attraction in a way, with the welcoming atmosphere, friendly neighbourhood, and wonderful spots to take photos. There’s a few places to go in this city, there’s recycling depots to help get rid of the need to have plastics thrown in city dumps and not putting chimneys on houses to lessen air pollution, the city plans to help the environment more. A counselor office for if any locals feel the need to go there for some help, the counselors here can be trusted and promise to help as best as they can. The are homes instead of apartments to be safer in case of earthquakes. There’s a community center and park for locals to hangout in or for any new residents who want to see what activities can be held. Finally there’s a large government building where the city’s rules were made between all the living citizens in the city, making them feel like they have a say in what they think should be allowed or not in the city, that their say is incorporated and the city is reserved for small families, keeping the city peaceful and more calming.

Communication Reflection

This project is about using values to create a city. I made this city along with Chloe, and we named it “Winter Forest city.” We used city creator (http://www.citycreator.com/ http:/) and to draw finishing details we used paint 3D. I used my laptop to jot ideas down that we came up with, and if we had some, we didn’t like I could always remove them. I list whatever my partner would suggest and then we went over it afterwards. I made sure to ask if there was anything Chloe would like to add to the design, because I didn’t want to feel like I was doing all the work. She was fine with me placing and drawing stuff for the city though she made some suggestions for buildings and people as well. I think we worked well together, we made sure to finish the city as fast as possible and not be rushing and used time wisely by not slacking off. We had a bit of trouble with coming up with a name for the city, but in the end, we somehow came up with Winter Forest city, probably because of the background. I’m happy with the final product of what the city ended up becoming and I hope my group partner Chloe is too.
