Staying safe on the internet can seem lame, but there are reasons we should keep safe on the internet such as cyberbullying, identity theft, scams, etc. Falling for any of these can ruin your life and the possibility of getting a job because someone stole your identity and made horrible posts acting like you that you disagree with. Being positive takes as much time away from the day as being negative does so there’s no point in commenting if you don’t have anything nice to say because being positive can make the internet a much safer place and brighten the day of people from all around the world that you will never speak with but made a positive impact in their days. Examples of such negative and unsafe activities include scams, cyberbullying, DDoS attacks, IP leakers, and much more. Steps all of us can take to stay safe are, to use strong and unique passwords on every website, be careful about sharing sensitive data, not comment on anything unless they have something nice to say, etc. Those were my thoughts on internet safety and why we should clean up and check on our digital footprint.

Personal/Social Competency Reflection
I know that my digital footprint can have both positive and negative consequences, including identity theft, scams, etc. So I adjust my actions to use unique and difficult passwords on every website, not putting sensitive information online, not putting location tags online, etc.
Some of my preferred strategies for maintaining a healthy, balanced online presence include not using my phone when I am mad, not commenting unless I have something nice to say, not saying sensitive information on the internet, and keeping screen time to a minimum.
Some of the ways I work to build and maintain online relationships are playing video games with different people online, talking to different people online, and being nice to people online.
