I can tell this is a linear equation because the graph is just a straight line, I can also tell from the equation that there are no exponents over one.

Non-Linear Equations
y=3/x
i can tell this is not linear equation because on the graph the line isn’t straight, I can tell the equation is a linear because there are only exponents of one.
I can tell this is a non-linear equation from the graph because there is no straight line, there are exponents of two on the x and y so I can tell that is a non-linear equation.
