スパイダ-マン (Japanese Spiderman)

So, Yesterday, we watched Spiderman. But, there was a difference. We watched JAPANESE Spiderman. In 1978, Marvel gave a Japanese studio the rights to Spiderman, and thus a masterpiece was born. Some differences with the show compared to western Spiderman include the fact that they’re all Japanese, their budget being absolutely horrendous, and the fact that theres an ACTUAL TRANSFORMER in the show, its name being Leopardon. The whole show was an emotional rollercoaster, but my favorite bit was explaining to my family and friends that Spiderman fought a gigantic crab mech controlled by Krang from the Ninja Turtles with a Transformer and a flying car. I was laughing from the end of the block to until I got home. It kind of makes think on hour future generations will look at our media and laugh at stuff like the entirety of western anime culture, filthy frank, and other amazing pieces of art. FUN FACT: The costume for the Transformer, “Leopardon”, was stolen after the first episode was aired, making sudden scene changes VERY common on the show. Especially during the Krang fight.
