Knife Skills Reflection

I have leaned that knife skills are actually a very important part of the culinary arts industry. Throught this course I have learned many ways and techniques on how to prepare different cuts. I have realized that knife skills take time and practice to get good at just like anything and I also feel like i have improved over the course time. Knife skills are an essential as it ensures that we are keeping ourselves safe and others when working with such sharp equitment. Throughout the time I have spent in the cafeteria, I would say that I have noticed a significant improvment in my knife skills. I went into this course not knowing any of the basics and thinking that knife skills are just a natural human instict to learning how to use a knife properly as well as how to ensure I do so safely. As I feel like i have the basics down I would still like to continue practicing these skills to gain more confidence in this area and I can not wait to do so in my day to day up coming classes.
