My 3 takeaways from the Presentations on Substance Abuse and CPR
(1) I discovered from the CPR presentation that prompt action can save lives since doing chest compressions right away doubles or triples of survival. (2) I’ve also learned how crucial it is to maintain a consistent beat when performing compressions and how simple it is to operate AEDs using their voice instructions. (3) I discovered the detrimental impacts of drug and alcohol usage on mental and physical health from the Substances presentation. I also understood the significance of learning how to say no and how peer pressure may result in poor choices. Finally, I now know where to go for substance abuse support groups or hotlines.
Critical and Reflective Thinking Competency Reflection
I can analyze evidence to make judgements. I learned from the CPR presentation that quick action during an emergency may significantly improve survival rates. I also learned how simple it is to use an AED and how crucial it is to perform chest compressions appropriately. I learned from the substance abuse presentation how dangerous drug and alcohol usage is to one’s health and how crucial it is to know where to get help.
