In the Cell Membrane Diffusion Lab communication is a key factor in having the most accurate and best results for cell osmosis. Initially setting up the cell was the most arduous step. Poor communication would result in a loose cell that would leak out the solutions within or it would result in a cell that would not diffuse properly due to a lack of turgor pressure. Later in the lab, everyone in the group communicated their thoughts on which direction the molecules in the solutions would diffuse and we each commented and added to the conversation thoroughly.
During the Cell Membrane Diffusion Lab, I analyzed the evidence given to present accurate predictions for cell diffusion direction. Using both thinking and communication we predicted in which direction the molecules would diffuse through the semi-permeable membrane. These connections were able to be made due to the scientific evidence provided to us.
I was able to collaborate and communicate with my partner to complete this assignment. Throughout the journey of this assignment, we were able to create a Dichotomous key for buttons that we got in a bag. We split up the work so that he did one-half of the buttons and I did the other half. Once we had our basic layout we worked together to figure out the definitive layout for our key.
This year in French I learned a lot through our 4 units, and this project was a culmination of everything I’ve learned through the semester. This project had me writing about each of my family members with the french I developed across the last few months. Although my artistic skills aren’t the greatest, I was able to showcase my french capabilities this year and I look forward to French 10 in the near future.
A major theme that we explored was “Morality” as a whole. There were many many examples of how morality went into this play. At any time, Prospero could have taken his revenge, but he decided not to. In the end, because he didn’t take his revenge, he made it back home safely. This plot point also comes around to “the best revenge is a life well-lived, which ties into morality. I think that this play really changed my outlook on morality overall due to all of the topics in the tempest. I think what really affected me was how the people treated Caliban. Caliban was rejected by Prospero because of his perspective of morality. He didn’t know what was considered normal or outrageous and it was because of how he grew up. He grew up isolated and what really shone to me was the idea of people having these crazy ideas of morality, when in modern society it was viewed as a horrible act.
The image I chose above displays how companies search into your background. Having a clean digital footprint not only looks good, but it could get you a job in the future. In our day and age when you apply for a job, it is a certainty that you are investigated before taking the interview. Everything you post is kept forever on the internet, with websites like the way-back machine and internet archives, your posts are here to stay. Attempting to delete a post may be a short-term solution, but on the long road, it won’t work. It’s way too easy to access information about people and things on the internet, so you can never be safe. For websites like Instagram, they suggest “privat[ing your] account”. Although it is only a short solution, it can still be effective. When you private your account “your content will only be seen by the people who follow you”. Be careful about what you post on your Instagram stories and posts, as some content is looked down upon by hr if you’re looking for a job. Overall it’s important to stay safe on the internet, and it’s important to maintain a clean digital footprint.
Personal/Social Competency Reflection
Some preferred strategies for maintaining a healthy, balanced online presence include being careful with what is posted. Posting the wrong image or video could ruin your reputation in an instant.
By having fun online, I make a positive difference to my peers. It’s important to stay safe, but it’s always important to make sure you have fun online, and with friends too.
I make digital ethical choices such as staying safe on the internet in order to maintain a positive digital footprint. Making safe decisions on the internet will ensure you maintain a positive digital footprint
